A teenager, however, is someone who has just recently become and adult although he or she, and those around him or her, find that difficult to acknowledge. The world we live in encourages us to behave as children until the day we die. Islam is only fully obligatory on adults. No-one experiences the contradictions of this condition more acutely than the young person. Islam succour from Allah to them and us.
